Opening Weekend: What to Expect

Memorial Day weekend is quickly approaching, here are some last minute items on what to expect:

Uniforms can be picked up your first scheduled day of work (3 Tee Shirts/1 Wind Breaker). Please wear shorts you don’t mind getting dirty and sneakers (no sandals or anything with open toes)

Memorial Day Weekend schedules have been posted. Please let me know if you do not know where to report your first day.

Saturday 5/27 – Spring Lake 5 Mile Run

Please be aware that there could be a lot of traffic and road closures due to the Spring Lake 5. Plan accordingly.

Working Papers

Those of you who still have to hand in working papers, please bring your completed papers in the first day of work. If I am not around, please leave with the office staff.

Hand Scanning

It will take longer than usual to “triple scan” everyone into the hand scanner on the first day. Don’t forget to scan in and out each day at your respective pavilion office.

Beach Rakers

Please take note of which end you need to report to on a daily basis. You will be rotating between Pier Beach (South End) and Pitney Beach (North End) depending on the day. Always report to the pavilion office first thing in the morning and you will then make your way out to start raking/cleaning. Please let me know if you have any questions or do not know where to report.

Text Alerts

Please make sure you have signed up for text alerts. You will be notified of any beach closures due to weather through the system. Text @SLBCREW to 81010 to subscribe.

Have a Great Season

Looking forward to another great season, please let me know if you have any questions about your first day or the job overall.
